Everyone seems to be putting out alternative Queen’s speeches, so I thought I’d have a go at my own.
2016 has been a year of ups and downs. We’ve seen atrocities, celebrity deaths and so many more awful things that we want to put behind us.
But we’ve seen some good in the world. Leonardo DiCaprio won an Oscar, Pokemon Go was released and J passed all her exams and got a promotion.
So what should we be looking forward to in 2017?
We should continue to forge new friendships, try new things and stop trying to get one over on each other.
If I could wish for anything for 2017 it would be that we stop using scapegoats. Stop trying to have an excuse for everything and just be more upfront with each other.
Sometimes we need to hear the truth so we can move forward in different situations. Believe me sometimes it’s necessary.
As we move into the New Year there will be so many new challenges, not just for me but for you reading this.
Personally, J and I are getting married. Of course that comes with its own challenges and pressures. However, if you are reading this then you can get through anything.
Trust me, if I can help to plan a wedding then you guys can do anything.
I wish you all the best for 2017. I hope I can speak to and have a laugh with as many of you as possible. If you’re reading this and we’re not as close as we should be then just come and say hello, I’ll love it. I will try and do the same with you as well.
Keep reading this blog as well and share it with your mates.
See that wasn’t too bad. Don’t think I’ll become a speechwriter for the Queen just yet though.
