What do you love about Christmas? – Blogmas Day 5

What’s your favourite thing about Christmas?

Is it the food and drink, giving presents, getting them? Or is it just enough to spend some time with your family?

For me it’s a mix of the above. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I love Christmas. I love the festive food and drink, the Baileys in your hot chocolate or the sausage meat in your turkey.

I love giving presents (more than getting them) and I love spending time with my family.

There’s something about seeing them all over Christmas that is just that little more special than seeing them at any other time in the year.

Maybe it’s because you’re more relaxed, maybe it’s because they’ve bought you a bottle of Prosecco, or maybe it’s the time you all realise that all that other bollocks throughout the year just doesn’t matter.

This year I’ve watched so many Christmas films, I’ve eaten so many Lebkuchen stars and stollen bites (as I’m sure you can tell) and I don’t care.

I still have plenty of cards to write, films to watch and even a few presents to buy. But I’m not fussed, it’s Christmas week after all.

There’s something about Christmas that really does make it the most wonderful time of the year. Except of course for David Cameron/Honey G going for Christmas number one. That’s something that isn’t as magical.
