Procrastination Frustration

Procrastinating is a terrible thing. How many times have you gone to do something only to be distracted and end up doing something else completely? You end up down a rabbit hole of ‘this YouTube video is telling me a new way I should be washing my socks,’ yet the blogs you should have written go unfinished. Just recently I’ve suffered from this, ok maybe not the sock videos, but I should have written a lot more blogs than I have. And it’s not like I haven’t had the material. I had a wonderful Father’s Day, my first as a daddy of two, I recently went back to work after being off on Paternity Leave, nothing. Well, just so you know getting back to work was both good and bad – as I’m still working from home so I get to see the kids and help Jess out too. I get to see a lot of things I missed out on with Ru, plus I still get to get all of my work done. As for Father’s Day it was wonderful, my first one as a Daddy of two and, although sometimes they drive me crazy, these two little munchkins are my world (along with Jess too) and I was proud to celebrate with them all. Anyway, what was I talking about? Oh yeah, proscrastination. I’ve always been one of those people who can be easily distracted, usually when I’ve got a difficult task to do. I’ll try and put it to the bottom of my to do list, when really it should be at the top so I get rid of it. So just recently I’ve tried to do exactly that. I’ve just started a project at work and I’ve picked the hardest job first, and Jess and I are doing a few bits around the house, and we’re tackling the worst bits first. Ha, have that procrastination. Now, what was I doing? Oh yeah, looking at videos on YouTube. No wait, writing this blog. Finished!
